Sinopsis

Ha pasado un años desde que los caminos de Citra y Rowan se separaron. A partir de entonces, los rumores sobre un justiciero que persigue a los segadores corruptos se han multiplicado. Por todo el continente se oyen susurros de que los culpables acaban siempre devorados por las llamas.

La segadora Anastasia criba con compasión y desafía abiertamente las ideas del nuevo orden. No obstante cuando su vida se ve amenazada y sus métodos se cuestionan, queda claro que no todos los miembros de la Guadaña desean el cambio y que la podredumbre crece hasta en los cimientos más sólidos.

La muerte debe existir para que la vida tenga sentido. Pero ¿cuál es el precio que cada segador está dispuesto a pagar?

Opinión

En este libro ya sabemos en cierto modo qué esta pasando -tanto en el mundo como en la Guadaña-, pero esta vez comenzamos con un punto de vista completamente nuevo siendo que Citra y Rowan ya no son novicios.

En Nimbo vemos a una Citra mucho más sabia y certera de quién es y cuál es su puesto en el mundo (y en la Guadaña); mientras que por otro lado vemos a un Rowan que, en el fondo sigue siendo el mismo, sí que deja ver las secuelas de su entrenamiento con Goddard. 

En el libro conocemos más a fondo a los personajes que queremos -y odiamos-, e igual nos presentan a más personajes con los que te vas encariñando poco a poco o de golpe y porrazo. Está garantizado que Greyson Tolliver se robará tu corazón, al igual que el Nimbo (por muy extraña que parezca la idea). Igualmente se nos van revelando pedazos de secretos histórico de este mundo tan fascinante, secretos que te dejaran pensando un largo rato sobre qué fue lo que pasó realmente.

Aviso: procuren tener a la mano el siguiente libro antes de terminar este, porque DIOS SANTO, ¡el final de este libro no tiene comparación! Te deja pendiendo de un hilo y sin tener idea de cómo se resolverá todo.

Synopsis (it may contain spoilers from the book itself)

Rowan has gone rogue, and has taken it upon himself to put the Scythedom through a trial by fire. Literally. In the year since Winter Conclave, he has gone off-grid, and has been striking out against corrupt scythes—not only in MidMerica, but across the entire continent. He is a dark folk hero now—“Scythe Lucifer”—a vigilante taking down corrupt scythes in flames.

Citra, now a junior scythe under Scythe Curie, sees the corruption and wants to help change it from the inside out, but is thwarted at every turn, and threatened by the “new order” scythes. Realizing she cannot do this alone—or even with the help of Scythe Curie and Faraday, she does the unthinkable, and risks being “deadish” so she can communicate with the Thunderhead—the only being on earth wise enough to solve the dire problems of a perfect world. But will it help solve those problems, or simply watch as perfection goes into decline?

Opinion

In this book we already know in a way what's going on -both in the world as in the Schytedom-, but this time we start with a completetly new point of view given that Citra and Rowan are no longer novices.

In Thunderhead we see a Citra much wiser and accurate of who she is and which is her role in the world (and in the Schythedom); all the while we see a Rowan who, deep down is still the same, but he shows the aftermath of his training with Goddard.

In the book we get to know deeply the characters we love -and hate-, and we are also introduced more character with whom you get to love bit by bit or all at once. It's granted that Greyson Tolliver will steal your heart, as well as the Thunderhead (as strange as it may seem).

All thogether we get to see bits of historical secrets of this fascinant world, secrets that will leave you thinking for a long while about what really happened.

Warning: do try to have the next book within reach before finishing this one, because HOLY COW, the ending of this book does not have comparison! It leaves you with a massive cliffhanger and no idea of how everything will turn out.
